1. My Career Plans & Where I Hope To Be In 5 Years Time
My career plan for the future is to become a television producer and director. I follow this path through by studying with books and brushing up on my research. I spend a large majority of my time preparing for my future in the film and television industry by starting to create/produce my own TV show pitches as practice. One of my main future plans is to attend university and graduate. I see attending university as one of the highest platforms to me because I will become more educated about the in’s and out’s within the film and television industry.
In 5 years time I would like to have a permanent job within the media industry. Whether it would be in film and television or radio, I would like to be a part of that industry and work on something within the industry. One of my career hobbies is Radio. Although it’s not my main focus when it comes to my career path, I do have a passion for Radio as it’s been one of my hobbies since childhood.

PREPARATION FOR INTERVIEWS
Some of the things I need to work on when it comes to interviewing especially interviewing for university is my preparation for the interview.

This is a good starting point Shay, I feel that you need to be a little more specific about what you want to do in the media industry (or maybe think about what you don’t want to do and that may clarify it for you) and put in more detail about how you are plan to get to where you will be in 5 years time. Could you talk a little about why you choose these particular courses, leave out any preferences until you have had your offers (in case they read it!). We did some interview practice last week and you have also now had real interviews-write a little about how you might improve your interviewing skills or at least how you are going to help yourself feel more confident in your preparation.
Finally you will need to apply for loans and grants etc and that will be the end of this unit.
