My assignment from David was to create my own production ident which will be feature at the beginning or the ending of a video or feature that I have created. I have chosen to use my own production company Roseberry Productions to create this ident and the software I will use to produce it is Maya.

Process 1: Creating the logo in Maya

When starting the process for creating my production ident logo in Maya, I started by planning out what the logo would should look like and what colour it should be and how it should move as well as what the name of the logo should be. I decided to use my media production companies name ‘Roseberry Productions’ as the title for my ident. The creative side to my using my production company name was that there were so many things that I could add to the ident that would make it unique and different from most of the production idents that you see. One of the creative ideas that I had for the production ident was to incorporate a rose accompanied with some rose petals and have them fall from the top of the screen adjacent to the logo.

To start creating my production ident, I opened Maya and clicked create and then text. After this I typed in the name of my ident which was ‘Roseberry Productions’ and instead of choosing bevel which is the most common choice to choose I decided to choose trim because the size and shape of the letter was to big and didn’t really match the original logo from my website.

Process 2: Creating the moving effect and adding the colour
